Amir Reza Koohestani

Born in Shiraz, the capital city of southwestern Iran, Amir Reza Koohestani lives and works in Tehran. He is passionate very early for cinema and writing (press, news, scripts). At the age of 21, he staged his first play but did not get permission to represent from the Ministry of Islamic Guidance. Since, creations after creations, he has been able to impose his style, that of renewal, both poetic and critical, which breaks with the naturalism of the Iranian theatrical tradition.
