Cie La Ronde : Annabelle Peintre and Rachel Lawrence

Annabelle Peintre and Rachel Lawrence, both company dancers, guide dancers through a series of tasks based on the work 8. Beginning with a warm-up, Rachel will teach a floorwork based contemporary class, pushing stamina and coordination through seamless sequences. The repertoire from the work 8 is taught to the dancers, deconstructed and reconstructed, giving an insight into the creative process behind the duets in the piece.

Rachel Lawrence trained at Ballet Junior de Genève before joining Tanztheater Luzern in 2009. Rachel performed with the company in Lucerne as a Soloist until 2017 and went on to work with internationally renowned choreographers such as Cayetano Soto, Caroline Finn and Ihsan Rustem. Trained at the Conservatoire National de Danse d'Avignon, Annabelle Peintre also worked at the Opéra de Lyon, where she performed works by William Forsythe, Mats Ek et Maguy Marin. Since 2016, she is a permanent member of the Ballett Theater Basel ensemble until 2022.
