    Uma Arnese

    Co-founder and co-artistic director of Out of the Box - Biennale of Inclusive Arts, artist choreographer and director, adult educator.

    Following a career as a dance and theater professional in French-speaking Switzerland and Ticino, Uma began practicing dance with so-called "different" audiences. She undertook her first inclusive projects in Ticino, creating the company Teatro Danz'Abile, with which she produced several shows before joining the association Dansehabile (Geneva), as artistic director. In 2013, she created the event Out of the Box, in collaboration with colleagues from Geneva. In 2017 she founded her own inclusive company, Artumana.

    With a Federal Certificate of Adult Education, she offers multiple training courses in inclusive dance and is engaged since 2018 as assistant to the head of AvantAge, a competence and training center of Pro Senectute Vaud.

    Since 2018, Uma Arnese is a lecturer in the CAS en Animation et médiation culturelle at The Manufacture.
