Yvane Chapuis
An art historian by education, Yvane Chapuis has been in charge of the Research Department at La Manufacture-Haute école des arts de la scène de Suisse romande since 2013. Her research has focused on the relationship between dance and the visual arts on the New York scene of the 1960s, and more specifically on the way in which the practice of dancers informs that of visual artists and orients it towards performance. This approach to transdisciplinarity led her to accompany the implementation of numerous experimental artistic projects in the fields of dance, theater and the visual arts, as director of the Laboratoires d'Aubervilliers between 2001 and 2009. Her current research focuses on the analysis of performing arts practices. She is the author, published by Xavier Barral, of Musée Précaire Albinet - Thomas Hirschhorn (2005); Théâtre Permanent - Cie Gwénael Morin (2011); and co-author, published by Presses du réel, of Partition(s) - objet et concept des pratiques scéniques (20 et 21e siècles) (2016) and Composer en danse - un vocabulaire des opérations et des pratiques (2019).
